The Breton’s thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Becker Vineyards a few weekends ago in the Texas Wine Country. The atmosphere was relaxing and family friendly. This was a first stop of the day and were excited to visit one of the more popular vineyards in Texas.
Upon entering the welcome area we immediately purchased a flight of 6 tastings each. The cost was $15.00. About the entry building. It is called the Lavender Haus. This is a replica of a barn that is located at the LBJ ranch.
A little history about the vineyards. The Becker Family wanted to find a location away from San Antonio, their getaway. They found land in 1990, 46 acres, and began develop their dream vineyard outside of Fredricksburg, Texas. There dream was a 1,500 case winery. The Vineyard had their first harvest in 1995.
